  North Mountain Vineyard and Winery Description
Annual Oktober Wein Fest and German Heritage Day- Sample authentic German food, potato salad according to Oma's recipe, sausages, and red cabbage! Sit in the wine tent and sing along with the German band, dance the Polonaise through the vineyard. $10 admission fee includes souvenier wine mug and tasting.

28th Annual Dayton Autumn Celebration

Battle of Hupp's Hill Lantern Tours
Thursday, 7-9 pm

Enjoy a candlelight tour through the Hupp's Hill Battlefield Park. Educational and group programs are available as well as Civil War lantern tours through Crystal Caverns with guides dressed in period clothing. "In Praise of the Needle"
Food, shelter and clothing..these are all essential needs for
human beings. This weekend's focus will showcase the textile arts that give
us that clothing. The raising of flax and succeeding production of linen has
been an important endeavor for Europeans since prehistoric times. Our German
and Scotch-Irish farms both will be doing demonstrations of linen
production. On various farms, interpreters will be demonstrating
hand-sewing, making clothing and household textiles of linen.
