5-6 Rockbridge Music & Dance Festival

The Rockbridge Mountain Music & Dance Festival is not your usual festival. There's no contest and no fancy line-up of big-name acts. No crowds. But if you love old-time music in a mellow setting with magnificent views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, then this is the festival for you!

6 Rockbridge Wine Festival

This annual wine festival sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce is held on the grounds of Theater at Lime Kiln, a unique outdoor venue built into the ruins of a 19th century lime kiln and quarry. Come and sip wines from various Virginia wineries while enjoying live music and relaxing amid the beautiful surroundings.

September 25, 2008 at 2 p.mAn afternoon of Bluegrass at Shenandoah Caverns.  Spend the afternoon with hand clapping, foot stomping, strumming and drumming bluegrass music at The Yellow Barn. Admission includes concert, American Celebration on Parade and The Yellow Barn.  At American Celebration on Parade you will see spectacular parade floats, props, and settings from the most prestigious parades and events: Presidential Inaugurals, Tournament of Roses and Thanksgiving parades. The Yellow Barn offers a look at our agricultural heritage with historical displays, restored antique farm wagons, carriages and vehicles, indoor beehive, & a country theme gift and wine shop.  $22.00 per person.

26-28 Mountain Heritage Arts & Crafts Festival

10 am-6 pm Friday-Saturday, 10 am-5 pm Sunday
Description = Approximately 180 juried artists demonstrate and sell their handcrafted arts and crafts at this nationally acclaimed festival with Bluegrass bands, wine tasting, and children's entertainment.

September 27, 2008.  Shenandoah Caverns presents Family Festival.   Our 4th Annual Family Festival has something for everyone!  Special features include Shenandoah Valley crafters, wine tasting, and great food!    Taste Virginia wines and browse among local craft vendors, children's activities and live entertainment. See apple butter making, living history, and other Valley heritage on display. $3 per car parking includes admission to grounds, hay ride and discounted adult admission to Shenandoah Caverns, American Celebration on Parade, & The Yellow Barn. $5 per person admission to wine tasting area includes tasting and souvenir glass.  Hours are from 9AM until 7PM.
