Heritage Oaks is the beautiful municipal course located in and operated by the city of Harrisonburg, Virginia. The course was designed by architect Bill Love. The design of the course is a mix of links and parkland style holes that meander along an extremely diverse piece of property. Towering oaks, hence the name, frame several of the holes. Heritage Oaks plays to a par 70, measuring 6,324 yards from the back tees, which provides plenty of challenge for accomplished golfers. Three other spacious sets of tees make the course an excellent layout for golfers of all skills. Heritage Oaks incorporates many other modern golf course features such as generous landing areas for tee shots and large bent grass greens with moderate undulations. Situated between Front Royal and Middletown, Jackson's Chase has a magnificent view of Signal Knob, Massanutten Mountain, and the neighboring Blue Ridge Mountains. "The Chase" refers to Stonewall Jackson's celebrated attack and pursuit of Union General Banks in the spring of 1862. Jackson's pursuit of Banks carried the armies across the grounds on which the golf course now stands. There are new battles to be fought everyday at "The Chase." Our undulating greens and risk-reward holes demand your "A-game" and your putter to score. At "The Chase," you can play it safe or bite off as much as you can chew — sometimes more.
