The Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and West Virginia is a wonderful four-seasons destination for any tour group. There are a multitude of attractions, natural wonders, small towns, historic sites, and “off the beaten path” places to visit that offer an element of surprise for groups visiting this beautiful region.
The Shenandoah Valley is over 200 miles long and is bordered by the Blue Ridge and Allegheny Mountains. Interstate 81 traverses the entire length of the Valley, making our region a prime pass-through area for many groups on their way to other destinations. The Shenandoah Valley Travel Association (SVTA) happily acknowledges this fact and invites you to plan an overnight stay in our area to get a taste of what the Valley has to offer. Dine in our unique restaurants, visit a museum or two, explore a small town, discover our natural attractions, or plan an incredible shopping excursion. Your group will want to return time and again!
Formed in 1924, the Shenandoah Valley Travel Association is one of the oldest regional tourism promotion organizations of its kind in the United States. We are a member-based association dedicated to letting people beyond the Shenandoah Valley know about its history, charm, and beauty. No matter what your needs are, the SVTA is here to assist you. Please feel free to call our office at 540-740-3132 or any of the DMO’s, attractions, or hotels listed in this section of our website.
