Welcome to Showalter’s Orchard & Greenhouse

Shannon, Ben, Ava and I look forward to welcoming you to our working apple farm. We work together each day to make this orchard sustainable, welcoming, prosperous, and fruitful. We grow more than 30 varieties of Apples and we blend, press and bottle Virginia’s Finestâ„¢ Sweet Apple Cider right here at the orchard.

Seasonally, we grow and offer pick your own hydroponic produce. Our offerings change but include: lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, herbs and strawberries. Connect with us via email, phone or social media to ask what is available today. All that we grow and produce is available in our Farm Store.

Generally, apple season begins in early August and runs through the end of November. Spring Greenhouse Season gets underway in early April. We grow and feature plants that are selected to grow happily in our geographic region. From Veggie Starts to Custom Container Gardens we are farmers at heart. We share our love of growing and preserving the gifts of this land through numerous workshops featuring our highly popular Make it, Take it Container Class and our annual Amateur Hard Cider Making Workshop. Whenever you choose to visit, be sure to bring your camera to capture the beautiful sights of the season!

Showalter’s Orchard is also the home of Old Hill Hard Cider. Visit our tasting room to taste and enjoy our orchard ciders. Our experience growing and creating with apples shines through in the quality of each cider style.

November 9th through 17th is Virginia Cider Week
